Rycote 021801 Baby Ball Gag Windjammer for All Mono BBG Windshields

Suitable for all mono BBG Windshields. The Windjammer first introduced by Rycote is a high quality synthetic fur-cover, which provides the highest possible protection against extreme wind-noise. When using a Windjammer fitted over a Windshield up to 50 dB of wind-noise attenuation can be achieved, producing excellent standard audio recordings. Each Windjammer fits one size of windshield, and comes supplied in every Modular Windshield Kit. Windjammer is also available in sizes to fit Stereo Windshields, Softies & Baby Ballgags. The Windjammer is made from materials which are specially designed and manufactured for the purpose, and as a result has virtually no adverse effect on High-Frequency. To be totally effective it is important that the pile of the Windjammer remains in prime condition, so each is supplied with a fold flat hairbrush for ongoing maintenance. Windjammer is fitted with a drawstring and toggle to allow snug and easy fitting. Finding the correct Baby Ball Gag will depend mainly on the diameter of the microphone shank. The size of the Baby Ball Gag relates to the diameter of the microphone body, i.e. a 20 mm Baby Ball Gag will fit a microphone with a 20 mm diameter shank. The microphone is fitted through a neoprene grommet into the Ball Gag, and must be central for the best wind protection. Please note the maximum diameter of the head is 80 mm.
