The Sound Shark can be used with any omni-directional lapel (lavaliere) microphone that works with your camera or recorder. Cylindrical microphones are preferred as they are slightly more secure in its mounting clip. We highly recommend adding the Sound Shark Wind Cover to your order if you will be working outdoors. If you are recording with a DSLR, we recommend using a preamplifier with your camera, to get the highest quality of audio.
