Neutrik HX-CAT6A Parallel Press Tool for Cat6A Connectors

Parallel press tool for etherCON CAT6A series.

The IDC contacts of the - NE8MX6* cable connectors and NE8FDX-Y6* chassis connectors must be pressed down with a "parallel press" tool. The best tools to use are parallel press (channel-lock style) pliers with smooth (not serrated) edges: it is important that all eight contacts are pressed down with even pressure.

Neutrik's HX-CAT6A is ideal for this-a small pair of channel lock pliers with smooth blades: By contrast, pliers with serrated blades and/or diagonal pressure are not acceptable: such tools cannot apply even pressure across all of the IDC contacts. The result could be that some contacts are not fully pressed down, causing intermittent or otherwise faulty contact for those wires.
