Allen & Heath University: dLive Certification

Reach Expert Level on dLive This September 18th.

We're partnering up with our friends at Allen & Heath and the John B Anthony Company to host their latest edition of Allen & Heath University!

Join us for a 3-hour crash course designed to get you up and running with Allen & Heath’s flagship dLive mixing systems. This hands-on session covers both the hardware and software platforms, providing you with the knowledge and confidence to operate dLive consoles effectively in real-world situations.

The sessions will be taught by Jake Hartsfield, Live Sound and Touring Manager for Allen & Heath USA.

What You’ll Learn

• System Overview: A guided walkthrough of the dLive ecosystem, including surfaces, MixRacks, and networking options.
• Software Training: Introduction to dLive Director, Allen & Heath’s offline/online control software, including setup, configuration, and workflow tips.
• Operational Training: Practical instruction on navigation, channel strip control, routing, EQ, dynamics, FX, and mixing workflows.
• Best Practices: Insights into system optimization, show file management, and troubleshooting.

Schedule - Thursday, September 18th, 2025

• Morning Session: 9:30 am – 1:00 pm
• Afternoon Session: 2:00 pm – 5:30 pm

Both sessions are identical—choose whichever time best fits your schedule.

What to Bring

We recommend bringing a laptop with dLive Director pre-installed so you can follow along with the exercises. You can download the software from the Allen & Heath website.

Additional Details
Food and drink will be served during both sessions. Street parking in our area is limited due to a nearby construction project. You can park in the nearby Hillside Tower garage or take public transit to the Jamaica hub 1.5 blocks away (E / J / Z subway to Sutphin-Archer or Long Island Railroad to Jamaica).
