NAB Show New York brought together over 11,000 broadcast and media professionals from 95 countries, with an impressive 62% attending for the first time. The event once again proved to be a hub for innovation, showcasing the technologies shaping today’s and tomorrow’s media landscape. Right in the heart of it all, Dale Pro Audio welcomed a steady stream of new and familiar faces to our booth. Our Sales Team was joined by vendor partners, including Sennheiser, Voyage Audio, Radio Active Designs, Glensound, and 360 Systems, who shared insights, demos, and engaged in great conversations with attendees throughout the show.
The show highlighted three dominant themes: the pervasive integration of AI, the significant rise of the creator economy, and advancements in sports media and live production workflows— with an emphasis on practical, real-world applications of technology amidst economic pressures and the evolving media landscape.
Key Show Themes and Takeaways:
- Sports Media and New Workflows: The convergence of sports, media, and technology was a prominent topic, with sessions on live streaming, real-time analytics, and fan engagement. Topics included the business of soccer leading up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the growth of women's sports. Innovations in immersive viewing experiences and next-generation production technology were also showcased. A perfect example of this is the growing popularity of Voyage Audio’s Spatial Microphone (featured at the Dale booth) being used to capture immersive audio at major live sporting events (more on that below).
- AI and Automation: AI has evolved from a buzzword to practical, integrated solutions focused on enhancing efficiency. Demonstrations focused on AI-enabled production and editing tools, workflow automation, real-time subtitling/translation, and data-driven storytelling.
-
The Creator Economy: A major focus was on empowering individual creators with the tools and platforms to scale their brands and monetize content. "Creator Day" sessions explored audience growth, monetization strategies, and authentic brand collaborations, including live-shopping and creator-commerce activations. One highlight right next to our booth: Puff Media’s TikTok Shop, which drew consistent crowds with live demos that merged entertainment and e-commerce — a clear reflection of how creator-led commerce is reshaping how audiences consume and interact with media.
- Cloud Infrastructure and Cybersecurity: The industry is increasingly relying on secure, hybrid cloud solutions for efficient storage, seamless workflows, and collaboration across distributed teams. Discussions centered on the need for operational agility and mitigating cybersecurity risks in an era of cloud-based operations.
