Rycote HC Series Microphones

Rycote enters the professional condenser microphone market with two high-quality shotgun microphones designed from scratch. They are co-developed exclusively by and for Rycote with a handmade and individually fine-tuned back-electret capsule.

The HC-15 and HC-22 are high-quality hypercardioid shotgun microphones. Both of these mics offer performance equal to or better than many of the more expensive professional microphones, while also offering a self-noise level lower than almost any equivalent sized shotgun mic at any price.

The microphones provide solid off-axis rejection and isolation with a sound quality to match, making the HC-15 and HC-22 a great all around mics for many recording environments including live broadcast, sound design, ENG, TV, cinema and field recording.

The microphones are also available as kits, including Rycote's all new NanoShield.

The Nano Shield offers an enhanced level of wind protection paired with improved acoustic transparency. The kits are smaller and on average weigh 30% lighter than Modular Windshield Kits. The new advanced Lyre® mounts are also more compliant and offer better handling noise reduction. Overall the Nano Shield Kits raise the bar for performance and versatility.
