Powersoft was founded in Florence, Italy, in 1995 by Luca Lastrucci, Claudio Lastrucci and Antonio Peruch, three friends driven by a shared passion for music, technology and innovation.
What began in a small garage soon challenged one of professional audio’s biggest assumptions: that high-power amplification had to be heavy, inefficient and energy intensive.
Powersoft pioneered a new generation of Class-D amplification, combining reliable high power with dramatically improved efficiency, reduced weight and smarter use of energy.
That engineering philosophy has continued to evolve far beyond the amplifier itself.
Today, Powersoft technologies power professional audio systems across more than 80 countries — from live venues, stadiums and houses of worship to hospitality, retail, corporate environments and large-scale installed systems.
And the story continues.
In 2025, Powersoft acquired a majority stake in K-array, bringing together complementary expertise in amplification, signal processing and loudspeaker technologies and marking another step in Powersoft’s evolution from an amplification manufacturer into a broader professional audio solutions provider.
