    Description

    The first reference decoder for Dolby AC-4 and Dolby Digital Plus With Atmos content, the Dolby DP580 assists broadcasters and manufacturers in the adoption and deployment of Dolby audio codecs. It also performs comprehensive monitoring and logging functions.

    The Dolby® Professional Reference Decoder DP580 allows you to monitor streams along multiple points of the broadcast chain. It provides a detailed analysis of Dolby audio streams, making it ideal for broadcast trials and manufacturers' test environments.

    Comprehensive Decoding, Monitoring, and Analysis
    As the first reference decoder for Dolby AC-4 and Dolby Digital Plus With Atmos content, the Dolby DP580 enables validation of AC-4 and Dolby Digital Plus With Atmos bitstreams. The Dolby DP580 also monitors the enhanced features of Dolby Digital Plus™, including secondary audio bitstream mixing and 7.1-channel decoding.

    Quality Control and Loudness Monitoring
    With the Dolby DP580, you can perform quality control at any point within your headends. It also enables monitoring, display, and logging of all audio-related metadata and loudness.

    Flexibility and Versatility
    The Dolby DP580 also includes support for HDMI® 1.4b with Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) device emulation, allowing emulation of HDMI repeater/sink devices such as A/V receivers and HDTVs.
