Description
MPS-488X and MPS-482HP are the core stations of Meyer Sound's IntelligentDC technology, which combines all the sonic benefits of self-powered loudspeakers with the installation ease of low-voltage systems by delivering balanced audio and DC power together over composite cables. Its applications include corporate systems, hospitality suites, home theatre, retail, and anywhere high-quality distributed audio is desired.
MPS-488X provides 8 channels of balanced audio and DC power via field-friendly Phoenix connectors. For added flexibility, toggle switches can route audio inputs to one or more channel outputs.
Front-panel LEDs provide real-time feedback on critical data such as voltage status and load current levels; A built-in RJ45 port lets users access telemetry data and manage device firmware. Telemetry data can be monitored remotely on a Mac or PC using Meyer Sound's free Nebra software.
The MPS-488X is ideal for use with Meyer Sound's 48V DC IntelligentDC line of loudspeakers, including the powerful ULTRA‑X20 family, the UP‑4slim ultra-compact loudspeaker, and the USW‑112XP compact subwoofer. Multiple Ashby‑5C, Ashby‑8C, or MM‑4XP loudspeakers can be driven from each channel maximizing power and efficiency in just 1RU of space.
