19/20mm model for microphones such as the DPA 4018; Sennheiser MKH 8040 & MKH8050 and Schoeps CMC641.
Baseball is a 3" soft windscreen that creates a cavity-like internal air space around the microphone capsule. Specifically designed for interior boom pole use it offers a simple solution to greatly reduce the 'swooshes' that are induced by fast boom swings and other rapid movements. Baseball's internal transparent open-cell foam is covered with a soft, felt like material that is stitched up like a typical baseball for lasting durability. Baseball is fitted with a soft yet durable end-cap. Made of thermoplastic elastomer - a unique plastic and rubber mix - the end-cap helps secure the mic and provides an effective seal against wind.
Baseball is fully compatible with Rycote's patented Lyre suspensions to isolate the microphone and significantly minimize handling noise.
