    Description

The AC-Driver is an acoustic instrument preamp designed for use on stage, with helpful features to streamline your performance and ensure the best possible tone from your instrument.

    Features:

    • Studio quality preamp and class-A buffer circuit
    • Balanced DI output to feed a PA or powered speaker
    • Mute footswitch for instrument changeovers
    • Notch filter and phase switch to reduce feedback
    • 1/4" Output
      • 1/4" post-EQ output used to feed an on-stage amplifier.
    • Low Cut
      • Variable filter rolls off excessive low frequencies and controls bass resonance.
    • Phase Reverse
      • Used to reduce on-stage feedback by reversing the polarity of the XLR output.
    • Notch-Q
      • 3-position switch bypasses the notch filter or selects between regular or extra-deep notch. Works in conjunction with the notch frequency control.
    • Mute
      • Footswitch turns off all outputs except the tuner out. Used for quiet on-stage tuning.
    • Notch
      • Sets the center frequency for the notch filter. Used to eliminate feedback.
    • Level
      • Controls the output level of both the XLR and the 1/4" outputs.
    • Input
      • 1/4" jack used to connect your instrument to the AC-Driver.

    Great tone can be simple
The AC-Driver allows you to obtain great sounding results in a short amount of time, with powerful easy-to-use controls that allow you to set your levels and reduce on-stage feedback. An adjustable low cut filter removes excessive low frequencies, while a 180 deg. phase switch helps correct feedback build-up from hot spots on stage. A variable notch filter targets and removes specific problem frequencies, and a mute footswitch provides a way to silently tune on stage or change instruments without any popping or noise in the PA.

    AC-Driver Application Examples:

Feed a stage amp and FOH simultaneously
Send your acoustic signal to a stage amp and the PA simultaneously with a level control for both outputs. Remove excessive bass frequencies with the Low Cut filter control.

    Feed the PA directly
Send a balanced signal directly to the PA or a powered speaker. Activate the mute switch for silent on-stage tuning or to change guitars without waiting for the FOH engineer to mute the channel.

    Reduce feedback on stage
Activate the 180 deg. phase switch to remove hot spots on stage that can cause feedback to occur. If feedback is spiking at certain frequencies, engage the notch filter and slowly adjust the variable notch frequency knob until you eliminate the feedback.
