    Description

The new RODE NTG-2 is a lightweight condenser shotgun microphone, designed for professional applications within the film, video, television and production industries.

    FEATURES:
    • Broadcast sound quality
    • Low noise circuitry
    • Condenser transducer
    • P48 phantom power or 1.5V AA battery
    • Two step High-Pass Filter - Flat or 80Hz
    • Rugged metal construction
    • Low weight - 161g (5.17 oz.)
    • Low handling noise

The NTG-2 provides a balanced low impedance output stage and operates either from an internal 1.5 V battery (AA) or 48 V to the P48 standard. A wide bandwidth and controlled polar response coupled with low noise SMT electronics, makes the NTG-2 the perfect choice for film, video engineering and voice-over work. The NTG-2 is extremely lightweight making it ideal for mounting directly to video cameras or on boom poles.

Mounting the NTG-2:The NTG-2 comes complete with a heavy duty stand mic holder for mounting the microphone on any compatible stand with a 3/8" or 5/8" thread.; Install by pushing the mic in, on an angle coming from the back. You will notice the holder is quite fi rm, and this is intentional so that the NTG-2 will not come out easily, which could damage the mic.

Supplying Power:The NTG-2 requires power to operate. This needs to be supplied via P48V phantom power supply which is available from most professional video cameras or mixing consoles. Additionally you have the option of using an internal 1.5V AA battery.; To insert a battery, turn the base of the microphone anti-clockwise to unscrew.;Slide the cover down to reveal the battery compartment (the cover will not come off the end of the mic so do not force it). Insert the battery "...bottom fi rst', checking the polarity using the sticker diagram as a guide.
