Complete "Decca Tree" set for stereo recording. The CCM 2H, like the CCM 2S, is ideal for natural-sounding pickup of instruments and orchestras in spaces with well balanced reverberance. The choice between the two capsule types is essentially a matter of personal preference. At a given miking distance the CCM 2H might be described as more "balanced and round" sounding while the CCM 2S would give a slight additional brilliance. However, one might also choose the CCM 2H for slightly closer placement or the CCM 2S for slightly more distant placement - and then these two capsule types would have very similar sound quality, with the main difference then being in the balance of direct to reverberant sound which is picked up.
