Description
Designed for extreme weather resistance, the SM52-EZ-WX is an economical solution for integrators who need a surface-mount outdoor speaker option for music and paging applications. The speaker incorporates a dedicated 5.25 inch polypropylene woofer and an offset 1 inch soft dome tweeter with waveguide to deliver superb intelligibility for background to foreground music and messaging (up to 100.0 dB max. SPL). SoundTube's proprietary BroadBeam Ringª technology in all models ensures high intelligibility, even well off-axis. The SM-EZ-WX speakers are Weather Extreme with an IP65 rating, meaning the speakers are dust-tight and will withstand water jets aimed directly at them when installed with the included port plugs. With its 32 watt transformer and 6 position tap switch, the SM52-EZ offers 25.5 V, 70.7 V and 100 V operation with an 8 ohm bypass. Inputs are made via ceramic terminal strips, making these speakers suitable for European voice evacuation systems. The SM52-EZ-WX contains a powder coated aluminum grille and mounting hardware, a safety cable, wall mount bracket, conduit connector, and port hole plug.
