Refined acoustic performance meets ultimate flexibility
The third generation Rio3224-D3 and Rio1608-D3 are premium-quality, Dante-compatible I/O racks that deliver improved overall performance and come equipped with a newly added headphone socket, output delay, and a phase function, further expanding an already impressive range of potential applications. Both models are compatible with a wide range of Yamaha consoles, from our high-end RIVAGE PM and DM7 series digital mixers, to our industry standard CL and QL series consoles, playing a crucial role in configuring new systems or adding flexibility and depth to an existing sound reinforcement solution.

Discover True Sound
Throughout Yamaha's history of digital mixer development, we've sought to capture every note played, every word spoken, with absolute fidelity at the input stage; sound that reproduces the intricacies, nuance and emotion of a performance with stunning accuracy. This gives audio engineers an ideal sonic foundation to build upon to ensure their sound is delivered and received exactly as intended using the versatile tools of our mixers and processors. The Rio3224-D3 and Rio1608-D3 inherit this legacy of 'True Sound' by further diminishing noise levels and delivering sound with an even wider dynamic range than their predecessors.

Valuable features for added convenience
The Rio3224-D3 and Rio1608-D3 I/O racks come equipped with a headphone socket on the main unit allowing users to check the input/output audio locally, which is particularly useful for systems requiring complex network connections.

In addition to local input and output, audio assigned to the two channels behind the Dante receive channel can also be selected as an audio source, enabling usage as a direct line of communication with the sound engineer.

Both models also feature new delay, phase, and level control functions which will provide significantly more flexibility and convenience for RIVAGE PM series system users in particular.

Dante Network Protocol for Flexible System Setup
Audinate's Dante network protocol offers considerable flexibility and convenience during system configuration and setup in particular, by reducing the number of connections, cabling, and even personnel required for more sizable systems. Dante gives users the freedom to add, and place just about any combination of compatible devices in the most convenient location or position specific to their application. Dante-enabled systems also allow for redundancy that will keep the system running even if a problem with the primary network occurs. Audinate's user-friendly Dante Controller software makes setting up and managing patching of Dante-enabled devices faster and more efficient.

A separate network port for system monitoring and device control is provided from the Dante network port, giving users additional flexibility when configuring a system specific to a particular venue or application.

In addition to supporting the AES67 standard for audio over IP interoperability, Dante offers other crucial features for professionals, such as Dante Device Lock to prevent unauthorized operation, and the Dante Domain Manager for efficient user authentication and role-based security.*

* Visit the Audinate website for more Dante Domain Manager information.

Dual Redundant Power Supplies and Improved, Quiet Operation
I/O device power failure during live operation of a PA system can wreak untold havoc on a performance or event, negatively impacting performers, engineers, and audience alike. Both the Rio3224-D3 and Rio1608-D3 I/O racks feature dual power supply units in order to significantly reduce the likelihood of power loss that would result in downtime during a show. If one power source is compromised, operation will continue unaffected as long as the secondary power source is active. Additionally, a redesign of the internal airflow of each model has resulted in notably quieter operation by reducing fan noise.

Digital Compensation for Analog Gain Changes
When operators using separate mixing consoles connected to one I/O rack make analog gain changes, the results can be unpredictable and often undesirable. To combat the potential for such issues, the Rio3224-D3 and Rio1608-D3 feature a Gain Compensation function that automatically adjusts gain at the digital stage to compensate for analog gain changes from separate consoles, ensuring consistent, worry-free sound.
