Winter NAMM 2025 Recap

January 30, 2025

Going Beyond The Music.

It's well known that Winter NAMM, held every January in Anaheim, California, is the premier show for music making. Amidst the hustle and bustle, tucked away in the North Hall of the Anaheim Convention Center, NAMM has also evolved into a top-notch audio show too! We saw new gear ranging from networked audio, mixers, wireless mics, to useful tools and accessories, and beyond.

Some of the highlights we curated from the show floor:

  • Shure was proud to announce that their groundbreaking Axient Digital PSM in-ear systems with WMAS wireless technology are now shipping.
  • Waves is now shipping its exciting new LV1 Classic mixer. It takes all of the power of LV1 and its live plugins and incorporates them into a single standalone solution.
  • Ashly drew some attention with the AQZ32, a 16x16 Dante network matrix that is controllable from anywhere on the planet with AquaControl software.
  • Focal Professional brought their unique monitoring expertise to mains with the Utopia Main series. Comprised of two models, they are available as stereo bundles with included amplifiers.
  • Allen & Heath heard your requests, and now they've delivered: all of the power and features of the SQ series are now available in a 4U form factor with the SQ-Rack. It ships in limited quantities this spring.
  • Ferrofish introduced the PULSE8 AE, a compact yet powerful AD-DA converter with an internal routing matrix. It may be a handy and powerful tool for a variety of studio, broadcast, or installed applications!

  • Shure also announced a powerful quad-channel receiver for SLX-D wireless. Available as the SLXD4Q+ (analog) or SLXDQDAN+ (Dante), it packs a lot of power into 1RU, including flexible routing, easy cascading of two units, and more!
  • JoeCo Limited announced that their new BandMate will be shipping shortly! This handy unit takes the reliability you've come to trust from their BlackBox and BlueBox series, streamlining it into a powerful backing track player. A huge plus for tracks-based performers, installations, cruise ships, resorts, and so on...
