House of Worship Audio/Video Bootcamp Fall 2016 Recap

Dale Pro Audio, in collaboration with Worship, MD, and E.C. Professional Video, presented the "House of Worship Audio / Video Workshop" Friday, October 14th, and Saturday October 15th. The workshop was a free training event that focused on audio / video and technology solutions as well as practical tips for the House of Worship market.

The event took place at Dale Pro Audio's Queens, New York location, and focused on the needs of pastors, worship leaders, music directors, audio technicians, engineers, and anyone interested in learning how technology can enhance their worship services.

Special presenters included:

Doug Gould is the CEO and Founder of Worship MD, an educational consulting firm that helps professional audio technology manufacturers build relationships with the church. Doug has been a veteran of the Pro Audio and Music Technology Industry for nearly 30 years, serving in management roles at Shure, Tascam and E-Mu Systems and also serves as a worship leader, musician and tech at various churches throughout his esteemed career. Over the last twelve years Doug has been a very effective presenter at hundreds of worship conferences all over North America and beyond, focusing his experience to consult and teach others.

E.C. Professional Video is a team of specially trained Video engineers with extensive background in AV production as well as webcasting for House of Worship. The team will simulate a live video production environment at Dale, provide hands on training and create live webcasts.

A wide range of topics were covered such as microphone applications for modern worship, the future of wireless and RF spectrum, assisted listening, proper monitoring, mic techniques for drums, bands, and choir, recording worship services, Portable PA solutions, and how to use video systems for worship events.

In addition to the workshops, Audio-Technica, Electro-Voice, and JBL provided wireless systems, microphones, bluetooth speakers, headphones, and installation speakers to randomly selected participants.
